Two of our bandmembers are Joy Division fans. Finally we dare to record a cover of one of their songs: New Dawn Fades. Of course we did something completely different with the song, but we did it as a tribute to a band that we love deeply, and to its fantastic singer and songwriter Ian Curtis. We recorded this song because we think we understand the meaning and lyrics of this song a little bit, some of us have been there or have/had good friends who have been there.
Pim made a beautiful, large orchestral arrangement with influences of Philip Glass and Richard Wagner. Petra used operatic, classical vocals. Petra and Pim made a big choir together.
